At 29, Jenny Nguyen is earning impressive figures from her nail art, charging up to $500 per design. Her salon, JennPaintt Nail Lounge in LA, provides everything from manicures to eyelash extensions, but it’s her nail art that’s the showstopper.
She uses an array of materials to create lasting designs, attracting clients like Paris Hilton and Hailey Bieber. Nguyen’s work has also been showcased in campaigns for major brands.
Her salon’s 2022 earnings topped $600,000, and with her expanding clientele, she’s looking to surpass that in 2023.
Nguyen’s journey didn’t start in the beauty industry. She left Hofstra University during her junior year to help her family financially. In 2019, she relocated from New York to LA, initially continuing her teaching career. However, the need for better income and a desire for independence led her to explore entrepreneurship. Nguyen found her calling in nail art during the pandemic lockdown, inspired by Instagram.
